28 hours of XR hacking. Unlimited ideas. Absolute fun – this is the IATA Aviation XR Hackathon in Crans Montana, Switzerland.
The Venue of the Hackathon is the Associations des Communes Crans Montana – Route de la Moubra 66, 3963 Crans-Montana.
The minimum age for participation is 18 year old.
This hackathon promotes gender inclusion.

During the IATA XR Hackathon you will be asked to build XR solutions disrupting how the air transport industry operates in a number of areas:

– improving traveler experience and airline baggage operations

– optimizing airport operations

– making travel and tourism accessible and inclusive

Participants of this Hackathon will be ask to address at least one of the challenges by using XR technologies in their solutions. In parallel, they will be able to gain access to mentors / SMEs on-site.

NB – IATA does NOT retain developers’ Intellectual Property (IP) on any of their ideas/prototypes presented at this Hackathon.
Note: please bring your own laptops.

Some VR/AR equipment will be provided for use during the event:

HTC Vive, Pico Headsets, Sensoryx Gloves, Realware glasses, Samsung computers (VR ready)
